Preschool
The Preschool program is based on the developmental approach to learning. By providing activities geared to each child's cognitive, social, emotional, and neurological levels of development, we intend to lay the foundation for a productive and creative life. In some cases, Preschool is a child's first school experience. Great care is taken to make each child feel accepted and successful in all of
his/her endeavors.

Learning centers divide our classrooms in such a way as to allow the children to make choices freely and independently. The activities provided are designed to stimulate, excite, and encourage the
children to eagerly and successfully advance at their own rates. The child is encouraged to explore all areas. A fun, natural approach to learning (academics) is
provided each day. "Play" to young children is their "work." Each activity has a purpose: to develop and train specific skills that are necessary to be successful in reading and math. Centers include areas for Language Arts, Math, Art, Blocks, Dramatic Play,
Manipulatives, Large Motor, Discovery, and Listening.
Physical movement is encouraged and time for outdoor play is scheduled every day, weather permitting. The preschool morning includes classes in Music, Spanish, and Physical Education, and visits to the school library each week. The children attend chapel once a week with Bible stories, prayers, and songs.
Admission
Our Preschool 3 class is for those children who are three years old before August 1st. Preschool 4 is for those children who are age four before August 1st. There is no screening or testing for admission to these classes.
