NEWS FROM KINDERGARTEN

Kindergarten is loving Fall.  We had a great field trip to TG Farms Pumpkin Patch.  We learned about pumpkins, rode tricycles, saw the pigs, goats, cows and a turkey named Tom.  We brought back pumpkins weighing from .5oz to 8.5 lbs.  In November, we learn about animals and their habitats.  We will be traveling to the Zoo November 10th.  The end of November, we learn about Thanksgiving and what we give thanks for.  We are thankful for a lot in Kindergarten.  Come see our Thankful Turkeys around Thanksgiving in the hallway.

St. John’s School has many talented students and one of these is 8th grader Michael Phillips.  Michael is a member of the Oklahoma Youth Wind Symphony and the Young Artist Orchestra. He will be performing in the Winter Concert Sunday, December 7 at 3 pm at the Southern Nazarene University in Bethany.   Future concerts will be announced.

Fall Carnival

THANK YOU !!!!! In the 7 years I have been a part of the Fall Carnival, this year’s was the best one yet! I want to thank everyone, from homeroom parents to volunteers, who donated their time and energy. The decorations and signs were beautiful; the auction projects were creative and the booths ran smoothly. A special thanks to those who spent a lot of time on both Friday and Saturday helping to make signs, decorate and do the heavy lifting.  I would list every name but fear of leaving someone out stops me; but you know who you are! We also had some energetic ladies of the church who assisted in the food line as well as booths, thank you! Last but definitely not least, a huge THANK YOU to Trish Morgan who was more indispensable than my right hand! She did it all from donations to clean up. Be sure to stop Trish and the other HRP's and thank them for their dedicated service. It is people like these that make our school great!

Sincerely, Stephanie Ward
